My students have, for the past few years, talked about and discussed programmes that I hadn’t watched. Some of my students talked about Netflix and things that were available through it… reluctantly I signed up  –  but am now a convert. Although, I do think Netflix has pigeonholed me based on my watching things for modules into being a teenager with very specific tastes (this could form the basis of an interesting content analysis perhaps). I still watch the news on terrestrial TV though and of course I have to watch programmes like Doctor Who when they are broadcast.  Looking forward to teaching the TV Times module very much!
